"If these are really Zenith bank workers I am utterly disappointed! What rubbish!? Either side of the argument I see unethical banking practices. Being accused of giving financial backing to a candidate in an election is bad enough, then men with the alleged bank's ID kneeling before a governor?? This is the height of it.

Dear Zenith bank, you had better come up with a good explanation for this garbage or I will be tempted to stop banking with you and sell all the shares I have in your bank, as I will never own a single share or have an account with a bank that funds political campaigns! ~FRZ".

Beware! GTBank Charges Customers For Airtime They Didn't Purchase

While I was busy with my day to day activities, I received an email and alert on mobile, 3:06PM from GTBank debiting me for N400 airtime I purchased 6/28 2015. I thought it was a mistake, not until I received the second alert dated 5/25/2015 and the third alert of N400. This is strange because GTbank on a normal day doesn’t charge you for what you didn’t purchase. Within the time frame of
15Min, I was charged N1,200 and up till now, no any valid explanation for that or any refund made.

I searched online to see if some other GTB users experienced the same thing but to my surprise, a lot of GTBank account holders had similar problem, same date.

The question is, why will GTB charge her customers for Airtime they didn’t purchase? Is it system failure or what?

Imaging charging N200 from every account holders, do you know how many billions of dollars it will amount to? If GTB thinks it’s an error, then refund should be made to every account holders they illegally charge that day.

DNA test proves that Colorado prison inmate is not Prince's son

A DNA test has proven that Colorado prison inmate, 39 year old Carlin Q. Williams is not Prince's son. Hence he is not entitled to inherit a fortune worth up to $300 million. Williams claimed that his mother, Marsha Henson had unprotected sex with singer, Prince at a Kansas City, Missouri, hotel in 1976 but the DNA proved that there is no way Prince is his father. 

Williams has a long criminal record including drug and domestic violence charges and is currently serving nearly eight years in federal prison for unlawfully transporting a firearm in a stolen vehicle. 

His mother, Marsha Henson, however maintains that Legendary singer, Prince is Williams' father. When she was approached to give her reaction to the DNA result on Wednesday afternoon she said:

'I don't believe that. I think they're positive.'

So-called forgery case against me is another wanton abuse of the judicial process- Saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki, has described the allegations of forgery of senate standing order leveled against him and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu by the Federal government as another wanton abuse of the judicial process and making a mockery of the institution of justice.

In a statement released by his special adviser on media and publicity, Yusuf Olaniyonu yesterday June 22nd, Saraki said some people were trying to implicate him in keeping with their declared vow to ensure that even if their current efforts to nail him through the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) fails, they would find other ways to carry out their vendetta.

The statement in part reads 

“The police in their investigation were conscious that the incumbent senate president was not in office prior to June 9, 2015 and that was why in their letters inviting some individuals for their investigation, they only mentioned officers of the seventh senate. The last of the letters was written to the clerk of the national assembly on June 7, 2016 and he was not among those invited. 

Those who decided to smuggle the name of the senate president into the charge sheet after the fact knew perfectly well that only the leadership of the seventh senate were invited for investigation. But they needed to implicate him in keeping with their declared vow to ensure that even if their current efforts to nail him through the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) fails, they would find other ways to carry out their vendetta. This so-called forgery case is another wanton abuse of the judicial process and making a mockery of the institution of justice. 

As the senate earlier stated, the sponsors of this plot are not only gunning for Dr Saraki, what they have just launched with this latest antics is a grand onslaught on the foremost institution of our democracy. The only institutional difference between dictatorship and democracy is the presence of the legislature. Therefore, by seeking to cripple the national assembly, they have declared a war on our hard-won democracy and aimed for the very jugular of our freedom. 

“Let us restate the fact that the senators who initiated the police investigation in the first place had raised the same matter on the floor and were overwhelmingly overruled. They also filed a civil suit and were told by the court that neither the judiciary nor the executive can interfere in the internal affairs of the legislative arm. 

These needless distractions will do nobody any good. In fact, it will not help in delivering on the promise of bringing positive change to the lives of our people who voted for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last elections. The senate president does not see what value this current attempt to shut down the senate by dragging its presiding officers before a court for a phantom allegation of forgery will add to the attempts to solve the problems confronting the nation.”

DSS arrests former chief of army staff, Azubuike Ihejirika

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd) over his alleged sponsorship of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

The former Army chief was arrested at his Maitama, Abuja home on Tuesday June 21st. The Nation also reported that his arrest was also connected to the ongoing $2.1 billion arms purchase probe involving former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

Since his retirement, various allegations have been levied against the former COAS including that raised by an Australian, Stephen Davis who was invited by the Federal Government to negotiate with Boko Haram terrorist.

Davis in his report, alleged that Ihejirika and a former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff were among the financiers of the terrorists sect. Both men have sice denied the allegation.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to another campaign of calumny and distraction by faceless criminal gang of economic saboteurs that hide under the aegis of Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF) alleging that some officers of the Nigerian Army approached them for support to overthrow our duly elected present democratic government. This is baseless and most unfortunate allegation that existed in the warped minds of the originators of such weighty allegation.

The Nigerian Army wish to state that this is not true and hereby distanced itself from this weighty allegation. We also see this speculation as a dangerous distraction to our effort in fighting insurgency and other criminal elements in the country. The Nigerian Army would like to send a strong and an unequivocal warning to those speculating a coup by the Nigerian Army (NA) against the Government to desist forthwith. 'Nigeria needs a lot of prayer' - President Buhari

President Buhari says with the dwindling economy, activities of the Niger Delta militants, agitation by some Nigerians ‎for the Biafran state, that Nigeria needs a lot of prayer.

President Buhari said this while speaking at a dinner he hosted to break his Ramadan fast with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of the Federal Executive Council at the presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday June 21st. He berated the agitators of the Biafran state, reminding them that the Nigerian Civil war claimed over 2 million lives.

“We need a lot of prayer. Certainly, with the nation’s economy going down. Haven’t developed the agriculture, we are still trying to talk on those who will come and develop the solid mineral for us. The militants in their various homes. We need to reflect very seriously on what happened between 1967 and 1970 where about two millions Nigerians lost their lives. And at that time, as young military officers, you hardly heard of anything about petroleum or whatever money you got from it. Look at what Gen. Gowon said; `To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done’ and every soldier whether he has been to school or not knew what the General meant. But, we were quarreling with our brothers, we were not fighting an enemy and then somebody is saying that once again he wants Biafra. I think this is because he was not born when there was Biafra. We have to reflect on the historical antecedent to appreciate what is before us now and what we intend to leave for our children and our grand children. This (Ramadan) month of prayers and service to God, let us keep on these prayers all the times, believing that God in His infinite mercy will listen to our prayers, give us peace, security and better the economy once more, so that we can quickly rebuild and even do more for the country. Let me assure that the time of Ramadan is making us more conscious of what leaders at every level ought to do, and leading the people is not a joke. It means accepting responsibilities for good or wrong,’’ he said.

Reacting to a report which said a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, had given Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) - an interim judgement to take over his firms over his N50 billion debt, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, the Group Chairman of NICON Investment Limited, released a statement claiming that it is laughable to think anyone in Nigeria can attempt to seize his properties. It reads,

"My attention has been directed to lies being spread around by an institution called AMCON over an interim order of injunction she had lied to collect before an innocent Federal High Court in Lagos. AMCON is aware that we keep a deposit of Eighty-Six billion Naira or 172 million pounds with Union Bank and AMCON is aware that application to collect the money from Union Bank is pending before an Ikeja High Court. All of these facts, it has not disclosed to an innocent Federal High Court. AMCON deceived Nigerians to believe that they got judgement against me when there was nothing like that. An interim order of any court last for 14 days.

AMCON is executing the interim order even when the Judge has not signed the execution writ. We have since filed an application to discharge the interim order. I'm not in the category of people that AMCON or anybody can intimidate. It is laughable and a wide ambition to say anyone in Nigeria can seize my property! What a day dream!! We shall abide with the law and any interim order of court even when they are made in error as we are not far away from justice."

Drake cancels all fan meet-and-greets for Tour after singer Christina Grimmie was shot dead by obsessed fan

Can you blame him? According to reports, Drake has has cancelled all fan meet-and-greets and VIP packages for his Summer Sixteen tour after the shocking death of Christina Grimmie, who was shot and killed by a deranged fan at a meet and greet after her Orlando concert on June 11. 

According to People magazine, Drake cancelled the VIP ticket packages, which sold for up to $1000 which included a chance to meet him and take photos and also goodies including a car freshener, a foam hand, a 'floaty pen, disposable camera, a candle and an incense holder. People who bought the tickets have been notified of the change and have been promised a refund. 

Drake's management didn't say they cancelled the meet-and-greet because he feared for his life, they blamed it on 'scheduling issues'

$40million fraud: Court strike out suit against EFCC filed by Goodluck Jonathan's cousin Azibola

Justice Candid Johnson of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere today, June 21, struck out a motion filed against the EFCC by Azibola Robert, a cousin of the former President Goodluck Jonathan, asking the court to restrain the Commission from arresting, detaining or investigating him. The motion was struck out on grounds of lacking diligent prosecution.

In the motion, Azibola requested for an order nullifying and setting aside the remand order obtained by the EFCC to remand him, an order directing the Commission to release him from custody, an order of perpetual injunction restraining the EFCC or any person whatsoever acting for/on behalf of the Commission from arresting or detaining him and demand of special damages in the sum of N200, 000,000 (Two Hundred Million Naira Only). Azibola is being investigated by the EFCC for suspicious contracts awarded to him by the former National Security Adviser to former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

The investigation revealed that between 2012 and 2015, Colonel Sambo Dasuki allegedly awarded fictitious contracts to the tunes of N2,219,188,609.50 ( Two Billion, Two Hundred and Nineteen Million, One Hundred and Eighty Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Nine Naira, Fifty Kobo), $1,671,742,613.58 (One Billion, Six Hundred Seventy One Million, Seven Hundred and Forty Two Thousand, Six Hundred and Thirteen Dollars Fifty Eight Cents) and €9,905,477.00 (Nine Million, Nine Hundred and Five Thousand, Four Hundred and Seventy Seven Euros) respectively to Azibola and his companies and proxies. Also the sums of $40 million and N650 million was said to have been traced in the bank account of Azibola as moneies paid by the former NSA.

It would be recalled that Azibola made similar motion before Abuja High Court and same was dismissed by Honourable Justice O.O Goodluck of Abuja High Court. He later filed two separate motions before Honourable Justice C.M.A Olatoregun of the Federal High Court Lagos and Justice Candid Johnson of the Lagos High Court.

Reddit user throwaway_192i932, 21, who is expecting a baby boy with her 28-year-old husband took to the site to reveal the quandary she's in. Her husband is thrilled they're having a baby but says he'll never change his son's nappy because he thinks touching a baby boy's genital area is 'gay'.

She wrote on the social media site that her husband had told her that nappy changing was 'her

responsibility' and that it would be 'gay' for him to do it. The mother wrote:

 'I didn't have the best mom and I want the best for my son. I'm an only child so I don't have much experience on child care so I want to be over-prepared. I heard that raising a baby is one of the most stressful times in your life so I'm learning all I can right now because I'm a slow learner according to my husband.'

However, I told my husband that when the baby comes he needs to use baby wipes on the groin and butt as a precaution since it can be pretty bad.He stopped me and said that I would be changing all of the diapers, that he doesn't want to touch anything because it's gay and that it's my responsibility.

'We got into an argument because I really want his help in raising our son. I'm planning on breast-feeding him so I won't be getting a lot of sleep and so if he helps me change the baby it would help me a lot.I don't understand why my husband thinks like that. Our baby is our son, we need to take care of him. My husband stormed off so what can I say to change his mind?'

Wade told the magazine that from 2012 through 2014, during the Big Three era, “those years were so hard for me. I felt like my body was betraying me -- out of nowhere, there was so much pain in my knee. Anytime I made a move, and I mean like a step or a walk, any move was painful. I remember just thinking at one point, ‘What have I done to deserve this?’ This is something that's very important to my sport, my career and my future. And it got to a point where I was thinking, ‘Man, do I want to continue to feel all this pain?’

"I felt like my body was betraying me. It was every game, it was every day, literally. During drills in practice one day, I thought, ‘Nobody in this gym knows how much pain I'm in right now.’ It hurt to run, stop, plant, and it's killing me. But I didn't let people know. I didn't use no excuse. I just tried to do my therapy to fight through it.”

But after working with a new trainer and changing the focus of his training last offseason, Wade missed only seven games due to injury, down from 20 the previous season.

"I'd say I probably felt like I was 28 this season,” he said. “There were times when I did certain things and was like, ‘Man! That was like young me!’ And then there were other times when I played my old-school game and played at my own pace.”

He said he “never envisioned that I would be playing this long. I think I always told myself that my body would tell me, 'Hey, I gave you enough, it's time.' So whenever my body tells me that, I'll listen to it and then I'll make that decision. But nah, I'm not there yet. I've got some good years left."

He said appearing in ESPN’s Body Issue "is bigger than looking at an athlete's body. It's more about the story we are telling of overcoming my fear of doing this. I had a fear of being naked in front of others and a fear of being judged. When I was young, my belly button was an outie, and I never even wanted to take my shirt off when we were at the swimming pool or outside during water fights. The only people who went into the pool with their shirts on were the kids who were overweight — and me. I knew that I was different…. I was just never comfortable until about four years ago, when I started feeling comfortable with my body overall."

The body issue will be available on line on July 6 and in newsstands July 8. Former DR Congo vice president Jean-Pierre Bemba jailed over war crimes

The International Criminal Court has sentenced ex-rebel leader and former Congolese vice president Jean-Pierre Bemba to 18 years for murders, rapes and pillaging committed by his troops in the Central African Republic more than a decade ago.

The verdicts announced today Tuesday, June 21, focused on the actions of his troops, as Bemba commanded a private army of 1,500 men who intervened in the neighbouring Central African Republic's civil war.

"The chamber sentences Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo to a total of 18 years of imprisonment," said judge Sylvia Steiner, ruling that the former militia leader had failed to exercise control over his private army sent into the Central African Republic in late October 2002 where they carried out "sadistic" rapes, murders and pillaging of "particular cruelty".

Fadi El Abdullah, a spokesman for the ICC told Al Jazeera the ruling was "important for the victims" and "the first time they would see justice for the crimes they suffered from".

Prosecutors at the ICC had called for a minimum 25-year jail term in the landmark case, the first to focus on rape as a weapon of war by the ICC, which was set up in 2002 to try the world's worst crimes.

Bemba was convicted in March on two counts of crimes against humanity as well as three counts of war crimes. His arrest in 2008 came as a surprise both to Bemba and his supporters and opponents at home.

He had been living in semi-exile in Europe for several years when prosecutors sprung a trap by issuing an arrest warrant during a visit to Belgium, Congo's former colonial master.

His forces the Movement for the Liberation of Congo militia (MLC) had deliberately targeted civilians as part of a "modus operandi" as they sought to halt the coup bid against the Central African Republic's then-president Ange-Felix Patasse.

Men, women and children were all raped - in one case three generations of the same family were gang-raped by MLC soldiers who held them at gunpoint and forced relatives to watch.

Bemba's lawyer have already said they will appeal against his conviction. Geraldine Mattioli-Zeltner, international justice advocacy director at Human Rights Watch, said the sentence offered "a measure of justice" for the victims.

"Other commanders should take notice that they, too, can be held accountable for rapes and other serious abuses committed by troops under their control," she said.

Ibrahimovic to retire from International Football after Euro 2016

The 34-year-old Swede who has been a prominent fixture for the national side made the announcement in a post-game media conference.

Sweden will play Belgium on Wednesday in what could the former PSG striker's final game for his country. Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Ibrahimovic said:

"The last game of the Euros will be my last game with Sweden. I will not participate in the Olympics. So my final game of the Euros will be my last. So let's hope it goes as long as possible. I hope that tomorrow will not be my last game. But I don't have any regrets.

"There is no disappointment. I'm very proud to be the captain of Sweden. I want to take this moment to thank the fans for always supporting me wherever I go, I will always carry the Sweden flag with me and stand with it."
