Nwakali to join Man City's first team squad for next season

– Chidiebere Nwakali will be named in Man City’s squad next season

– Nwakali has been at City since 2013 but never made a first team appearance

– The youngster will have to wait for a work permit before he can play

Chidiebere Nwakali’s will wait to be granted a UK work permit before he can be made in the Manchester city squad for next season.

Nwakali’s senior brother, Allwell told africanfootball.com that the youngster will be named in the first team squad.

The Nigerian youngster has not played in official games for the Premier League team and has been sent out on loan since he signed for them three years ago.

“The only thing stopping Chidiebere from playing for the Manchester City first team is work permit,” Allwell said.

“Manchester City have plans for him because he was here (in Nigeria) for just a week and they called him back but in the end, they will be the ones to decide where he plays.”

Interestingly, Chidiebere Nwakali is represented by Pere Guardiola, who is the younger brother of new City boss, Pep Guardiola.
